SHOOTING
The shooting available at Ballindalloch provides the very highest quality sport.
Driven Shooting
We
organise between 15 and 20 days of driven pheasant and partridge shooting each season at
Ballindalloch. The contours make it possible for the gamekeepers to present high birds in
beautiful and varied country. Bags are likely to be in excess of 200 birds per day at the
beginning of the season and between 100 and 200 in January. The party will usually stay at
Pitchroy Lodge, where they have lunch before the two afternoon drives.
Roe Buck Stalking
The opportunities for roe buck stalking on the Estate are excellent. The season extends from
April to July each year and the Estate can accommodate two rifles on a daily or weekly basis.
Walked Up Shooting
An extensive area of the Estate is ideally suited for parties of up to four guns to walk up for
a day, accompanied by a gamekeeper and dog. A bag of 10 to 15 head of game per gun per day can
be expected. Walked up shooting is available in October before the start of driven pheasant
shooting, but parties can also be accommodated later in between the driven days.
Vistor Shotgun Permits
We can assist guests from outwith the UK to obtain visitor shotgun permits.
The Estate will be very happy to try to put together a package of fishing, shooting, golf, accommodation and any other local activities required to suit a client’s particular
needs. A range of accommodation is available on the Estate. |
